Our short documentary, Spinnaker, is eligible for the Global Audience Choice Award in the International Ocean Film Festival! This year IOFF is a virtual event, and starting tomorrow, July 30th, you can watch the film and cast your vote.
With the purchase of a $12 ticket you gain access to four films in the Whales Program. After the films become available on July 30th, you have ten days to start watching. Once you begin watching, you have three days to finish viewing them.
Spinnaker tells the story of the film’s namesake whale and the tragic life that she lived due to the threat of entanglement and pollution in our oceans. The Center for Coastal Studies tracked her from birth to death, as well as across three entanglement events. The film brings her harrowing story to the forefront by highlighting the work of a team of dedicated researchers and rescuers at the Center for Coastal Studies in Provincetown, MA.
We are excited to be in the Whale Program alongside some truly remarkable films. Watch Spinnaker, explore the other films, and take part in this unique re-imagining of the 17th Annual International Ocean Film Festival.
